Dyltah is a being from the far-future, a loner: she forsakes the humanity of her upbringing and elects to undergo a genetic transformation, becoming "a living lightsail" who glides the solar currents of deep space. She commences an unlikely romance with Saa, a sentient chunk of space-rock.

It's business as usual for dashing multi-millionaire Tony Stark and his armored alter ego, Iron Man, now that he's returned to the Marvel Universe -- or is it? Tony must decide whether to wrest control of the Stark/Fujikawa corporation from his business "partners" or seek to increase his already vast fortune in other ways. He'd better make up his mind quickly, before a mysterious third party hires the Deathsquad to make it up for him!

Wildcore was an American comic book series created and co-written by writer Sean Ruffner and artist Brett Booth that debuted in 1997. Focusing on a team of superheroes of the same name, it was published by Wildstorm comics, then still a part of Image Comics, as a continuation of the series Backlash. After the series was canceled, the team's final story was told in the pages of Gen-Active, an anthology series.

The story opens with a Stormwatch escape pod, containing a scarred Flint, crash landing in New York City. The resulting rescue, retrieval and debriefing are witnessed by Grifter and Void. Upon hearing Flint's description of the aliens, Grifter mistakenly believes the creatures to be Daemonite and quickly gathers up the original WildC.A.T.S team sans Voodoo for a rescue mission to the Stormwatch space station, Skywatch.

In the principal story, the Bones' culture hero, Big Johnson Bone, has suffered the disappearance of compatriot Gertie Bone, and is traveling with Mr. Pip: a cantankerous capuchin monkey.

Batman parachutes into the jungle near the Guatemala and Mexico borderline, investigating the disappearance of a Wayne Enterprises geologist. He encounters an American Special Ops team hunting a target, and both are set upon by the Aliens. Several members of the team are killed, but along the way Batman becomes familiar with the Aliens' life cycle, and collects two facehuggers in specimen jars.
